NYCC 2011?

The greatest weekend of my life as a fan of comics, as a writer, and as a human being. Casey Dion, my brother Josh, and I got to meet so many of our favorite creators and had the supreme honor of finding out that not only that they were wonderful writers and artists but amazing people too. Everyone Casey and I asked for advice on the subject of making comics was so kind and patient with us, and so supportive. I can't not make comics now. I've been writing at an amazing clip since the end of the show on Sunday. Look forward to a bunch of art posts and other things on this deviant art and all over the place as we head towards the end of the year.
But here's a list of all the amazing people we met:

Just having all those people be kind, supportive, and genuinely encouraging it reminded me of how much I want to make comics. How willing I am to fight for it. The world's going to have to look out for me, for Casey (who had a fucking blast too), and for everyone at Ace Rocketman Comics because we're going hard.

A lot of good stuff is happening right now. All of it great comic book announcements I can't really talk about yet. My writing of plays, prose, and comics couldn't be going better. New York Comic Con is this Friday-Sunday and all I feel is excitement. I'm going to get to meet so many of my comic making heroes and ask them their advice. AND Hopefully I'll get some sweet con sketches I'll post here if that's alright with the artists in question.
